Where I've Been...

Oh, boy! Do I have some explaining to do... Sorry I've been away too long. I've been busy. And waiting for the new Web site to launch... but that is taking soooo long... and is a story unto itself. Characters include bizarre Indian techno geeks selling Websites on eLance. I don't make this stuff up.

For now, let's just say, "IIIII'mmmmmm BAAAAAAACCCkkkk!"

We started 2008 on some guy's yacht in the English Channel. I'm not kidding -- that's what we did on New Year's Day. This is what you'll see when we one day get around to sending out our Xmas letter (no, New Year's letter... no, Valentine's Day letter... no, our wedding announcement...) Yes, you read that right! We're getting married sooon and that's all I'll say about it for now.

Oh, and there are many stories to tell and several massive bureaucratic agencies involved when a divorced American wants to marry a divorced German born in Sweden... and they want to do it in Italy.

So we've been busy with bureaucrats and bizarre Indian Website developers. Weird and weirder.

In the meantime I've made a partial list of where I've been...and some of my favorites. Also, TripAdvisor is one of my favorite travel sites... (and just a tip... beware of hotel reviews in Italian. I discovered that at least on Dutch sites, the hotels themselves inflate their ratings by creating fake reviews in Italian.)

  1. Lugano, Switzerland Love it here more every day!

  2. Florence, Italy To me there is nothing like the history, the architecture, the food...

  3. Boulder, CO, USA Still feels like home...

  4. Bellagio, Italy George Clooney could show up any second.

  5. Breckenridge, CO, USA Ski town extraordinaire.

  6. Jungfrau Region, Switzerland Beautiful, served with a healthy dose of melted cheese and chocolate!

  7. Lyon, France Loved the food and general vibe, would like even more to replace this with a primo scuba diving spot.
