Oh, boy.
It's Saturday night and here I sit in my office with a lot of work to do.
I'm leaving for academic travel with 21 students at 6 a.m. on Monday morning. My grades are due before I leave. I'm not ready for either of those things.I have a lot of work to do.
And I'm wondering where the day went.
Do you ever have days like that?
I haven't talked about this travel course here. I'm nervous. I'm taking a lot of Arabs into the United States. And two German boys who I've heard drink too much.
And I'm responsible for them on Bourbon Street.
Remind me -- this sounded like a job perk? I'm just a little worried.
I haven't been able to sleep or eat much lately, either. It's been stressful here. I need Spring Break now and instead we're going to do this. Please, please, please I offer this up to whomever or whatever... make this fun and safe.
Who I'll be with them is a lighthearted adventurer. I know they just want to spend time with me and each other exploring. I can do that. We're doing some really fun things. You can see our course blog here.
Here are things I'm looking forward to:
- seeing Mom in New Orleans
- shopping in big American malls
-seeing movies Movies in big theaters with stadium seating is really one of the only things I miss being here.
- going to CNN and the National Civil Rights Museum
I've been so crazy-busy that I haven't even told my family members who live there that I'll be in Atlanta and Nashville in the next days. Whoops! I don't know if I'll have time to do much, anyway... but I should e-mail my cousin Kristen in Nashville.
So that's my slice of life from here for today.
I need a house/dog sitter for most of the month of June. If you know anyone who'd like to come to stay in Lugano for free in the most orgeous part of the year, please let me know! June 8 - 30.

Academic travel is the best part... So - I just got my Franklin Gazette and there you were! It was kind of fun and sweet to see you. Part of you seems to be saying, "Here I am!" and the other part appears to be questioning, "I'm here?" ;-) You look super.
Be well & have fun!
Jen
