a blogging woman meets Elizabeth Edwards

I've listened to parts of Barack Obama's book on iTunes. He seems smart and thoughtful, committed to doing the right thing, determined to get the country back on track... I see that Hillary's doing better at all this than the mainstream media wanted her to -- they sure do hate her for no good reason. Who I'm really interested in lately, though, is John Edwards. I'd like to know more about his track record. If Al Gore liked him, I might, too. Oh no, that was Kerry wasn't it?

Anyway, I saw this post today on another woman's blog. She was at a conference called BlogHer, where thousands of women who blog, many of whom use blogging for their businesses, etc. get together every year. I should've gone. Next year. Anyway, Elizabeth Edwards spoke and this woman had a brief exchange with her at another point in the conference this is the description of their very interesting and intimate encounter.

Makes me like them even more.

Also, there's this idea I've heard lately that one of the things at the source of people's power is the ability to be with what's so. I still need to develop my muscle at that -- I go real quick to, "This shouldn't be." It shouldn't be that I can't drive my car right now, for example.

Seems like the Edwards are probably pretty good at having, "This is what's so" as their starting point and making their choices from there.

Are you?
