What do you want?

There are so many different ways to deliver the above line... nasty, sarcastic, curt -- as in, "You're interrupting me; make it quick!" I don't mean it in any of those ways. I genuinely want to know what you like to read about and look at... I want to know what you're looking for in a blog.

I'm making a new, more professional blog at another URL and I'm thinking about why people like the idea of expats, why people like reading this (Besides, of course, my searing wit and natural good looks -- I'm kidding!)

The categories or kinds of posts I've come up with so far are:

Three days in... (good stuff to do with three days in central Florida, Paris, Florence, Venice, Ticino, London, etc.)

Side Trips (places to go just off the beaten path, new destination ideas, just little jaunts and adventures)

Men, Dating, and Relationships (the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful)

What would the dog do? (Eat it. Roll in it. Hide under the Bed. Etc.)

Books and Music (Travel books. Jazzy tunes. Just a bit of this and that about books and music.)

Maybe it's not about the categories at all. Maybe something else has you read a blog. I, for example, love Dooce's writing, but I actually wish she would write about other, more-interesting-to-me topics. Still, I read her blog because I think she's funny -- and it's so cool that she supports her family with that ridiculous stuff.

I want to know -- what are you looking for in a blog?
