home again

Back in the house where I grew up -- and my brother and his family are here, too. We've never all been here together before, as far as we can remember. I love it here... but it doesn't feel like my home anymore. Still, it is where countless untold secret stories happened. I picture little incidences everywhere like the energy imprints ghostbusters say ancient entities leave behind. It's a good thing these walls can't talk.

And then there were the late-night telephone talks with those first beaus, and slumber parties and waterskiing and getting way tan in high school. Ghosts of summers past linger here.

It's time to head out again -- to Colorado today. Adventure surely awaits there.
